Alyssa Leib, MS, RD
Peak to Peak Nutrition

Alyssa is a Registered Dietitian who helps mountain and endurance athletes fuel for performance, recovery, and long-term health. With a master's degree in human nutrition and a deep personal understanding of the unique demands of high-altitude and backcountry pursuits, she works with climbers, skiers, runners, and multi-sport athletes to optimize energy availability, reduce injury risk, and enhance resilience in the mountains.

Through her practice, Peak to Peak Nutrition, she provides individualized nutrition support that bridges sports science and real-world adventure. Her approach blends performance fueling strategies with practical systems for eating well in training, travel, and expedition environments.

Alyssa offers tailored 1:1 nutrition packages for the Alpine Athletics community, including two sessions per month. In each session, you’ll work together to set personalized goals, brainstorm practical strategies, and create actionable plans to support fueling, recovery, and performance. Sessions are designed to give athletes clear guidance and tools to implement independently between meetings, helping you make sustainable improvements and build confidence in your nutrition habits.

Recal Travel is a leader in breathwork-based coaching and adventure travel, with a mission to equip anyone, even those that live at sea-level, with the tools needed for high altitude expeditions. With their innovative High Altitude Breathwork Training, athletes, both recreational and professional, can now more accessibly and effectively train for altitude, not only to perform better on the mountain, but more safely navigate the challenges ahead.

High Altitude Breathwork Training:

High Altitude Breathwork Training is a research-backed, field-proven method of training that is designed to equip athletes, even those that live at sea-level, with the tools needed for their high altitude endurance endeavors in the mountains.

The program leverages cutting-edge breathwork techniques, many of which are part of published research in scientific journals, to develop proper breathing mechanics, simulate high altitude conditions to initiate physiological adaptations, and strengthen the respiratory muscles. As a result, participants can improve their oxygen uptake capacity (VO2 Max) by creating new red blood cells, increase their CO2 tolerance to feel less breathless during high exertion, and build resilience to maintain mental acuity while at altitude. Additionally, there is a strong focus on respiratory muscle strength training, in particular the diaphragm and intercostal muscles to combat the thinner, lower-density air at altitude.

By incorporating breathwork exercises into a pre-acclimatization training regimen, participants can minimize the risk of altitude-related issues and optimize their performance – as well as safety – in high altitude environments

The 5-week training is offered in three different formats: an ‘on-paper’ self-guided version for $75, an online version with videos and other content for $275, and a personal coaching version for $875.
